Subject: Drug therapy

I'm trying to reach as many stutterers as I can to let them know about a drug therapy that i recently began.  The therapy is a combination of clomipramine and alprazolam.  I first read about this therapy on a stuttering chat page.  I gathered as much information and went to my doctor and got a prescription.

Periodically, we hear about this.  There are side effects which usually out measure the positive results.  Again, it goes back to the idea that "different therapies work for different folks".  Yes, this probably has helped this person.  There was a judge here in Chicago that took Ritalin and said that helped his stuttering.  There was also a man that claimed in an email to me that he ate a head of lettuce everyday and drank three glasses of water and that helped his stuttering !

Good research is being done at this time and maybe somewhere along the way, a drug to enhance fluency will be developed and approved.
